New Construction:
custom credenza
custom dining room table
political guest chair
Our residential and commercial commissions have brought us the opportunity to design select pieces of furniture, projects that we approach with the same analysis, creativity and craftsmanship as our buildings.
Our custom credenza was designed to follow the curved wall of a family room. We divided it horizontally into two curvilinear cabinets and a floating glass top all supported by angled solid aluminum posts that travel through to support all the planes. The interior was stained a bright yellow as an optical reward for opening the cabinet doors. A separation of materials spatially and geometrically celebrates their different roles.
Our custom brushed stainless steel and glass top dining room table is made from a reduced set of parts easily put together and disassembled for shipping. The table is a high-end prototype for mass produced table armature onto which any number of locally available surfaces (wood, stone, concrete) could be placed.
The political guest chair is a comment on both the vanities of the design profession and the state-of-siege political mentality so many countries nurture. Crafted from cold rolled steel, a tubular frame holds billows of concertina wire in a classic upholstered geometry.
